Takhi at Khustai National Park
Khustai National Park

Known as Birch Tree Mountain, it was originally created by officials to reintroduce the truly wild horse Takhi or Przewalskii Horses in 1992.

It is a strictly protected National Park, where you can have a wonderful experience in the wilderness with many species of wild animals such as Red Deers, marmots, foxes, gray wolves, palace’s cats and different species of birds.

This park is very easy to reach from Ulaanbaatar city, after a 2-hour drive by tarmac paved road heading west.
