At the beginning of August, most Mongolian Tsaatan tribes start to move down to their campsite for the Autumn. The tribes will remain at the camp for less than 2 months and move once again to another Autumn camp when it begins to snow at the beginning of September.
Reindeer mating season starts from this period and the gestation period for reindeer is about 7 months.

To visit most autumn camps of Mongolian Tsaatan tribes, it takes a 3-4 hour horse riding journey through the stunning scenery of Taiga.
