Only a 2-3 hour drive east of Ulaanbaatar city, the lovely Gun Galuut National Reserve is located on the east bank of the Kherlen River.

This destination is most known as the home of the wild Mountain Sheep-Argali. Consequently, this is the perfect location for wildlife spotting. Furthermore, it is also a great destination for some bird watching. There is a lovely swamp in the reserve’s territory with amazing birdlife such as several species of crane. This swamp is located not far away from the local ger camp.

Gun Galuut National Reserve is a great location for you to go hiking, horse riding, mountain biking, or even Kayaking.
