Genghis khan statue at Tsonjin Boldog is a dramatic 45 meters/147.6-foot tall statue of Chinggis Khaan on his loyal steed. You can explore this statue in a 1-2 hour drive 50km east of Ulaanbaatar city when you can easily spot it from a distance. The statue itself is made of stainless steel, while the Khaan’s sword is covered with gold plating.
You can either take steps or the elevator up to the horse’s head. It is a perfect place where you can enjoy the surrounding view and scenery. It also gives a perfect view of Chinggis Khaan holding his gold-covered horsewhip.
Furthermore, inside the Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex, there are several souvenir shops, a restaurant, as well as a small museum the main theme of which changes occasionally.
